About MethodKit with Human Needs

Do you want to know whether your idea or product really fills a purpose in the world? Or do you need inspiration for developing something that could change the living conditions within a specific field of interest?

MethodKit with Human Needs is a library of 63 cards, each illustrating a human need – from food and health to wifi and pranks. Products, ideas, projects and concepts you develop fulfill and dock into different human needs (or fail to). Discuss how your idea or project changes with people’s needs. Is your product fulfilling the needs it is set out to do? If not, what falls short?

The kit comes in A6 format, in our experience optimal for education, facilitation and arranging group discussions with. The A6 or iPad mini format has the benefit of being visible on a distance (e.g displayed on a wall) but the convenience of being portable and not taking too much space laid out on a table during group discussions.

How to use

MethodKit with Human Needs can be used to ideate and brainstorm around new solutions, by combining them with each other and with technologies, places and different target groups.

The cards can be used for individual idea generation as well as for hackathons and workshops. We have collected some examples and instructions for how MethodKit with Human Needs can be used in Hackathon format.
